Daler Mehndi gives playback singers a run for their money

Singer Daler Mehndi is all set to croon his first Marathi song in 'Janiva', which is produced by TV actor turned producer Srman Jain.
Srman (of 'Saas Bina Sasuraal fame') roped in Mehndi for the track 'Morya Morya Morya Re', whom he met on the sets of his TV serial. Post the recording of the song, Daler tweeted: ‘It was an absolute #fun recording #Marathi Song for the first time , I am sure the song is going to rule charts.’(sic).
When contacted, Srman, said, “Yes, Daler recorded his first Marathi song for my film. It’s a Ganpati song and he has sung it amazingly well. I couldn’t have asked for another singer.” The film which also marks the debut of Mahesh Manjrekar’s son Satya Manjrekar. The music is composed by Harshvardhan Dixit, who has assisted Pritam in the past.
Speaking about the music of the film Srman, said, “I am a Punjabi. And I wanted to bring something new and different in Marathi cinema. You will find elements of rock in the music.”
