Producer Pritish Nandy’s son Kushan who has earlier directed films like Hum Dum and 88 Antop Hill, is now set to make a comedy thriller. The film-maker has roped in actors Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Chitrangada Singh for this particular project, which is likely to go on floors in June. Reports also suggest that actor Amit Sadh can be expected to be a part of the project. But Sadh’s recent injury on the sets of Subhash Kapoor’s Guddu Rangeela may act as a spoiler. The actor who recently underwent a surgery, has been advised six weeks of bed rest. This mishap has disrupted the schedule of Guddu Rangeela.
A source close to the actor says, “The injury has set Amit two months back, and now he’ll have to reshuffle his dates. Although, he is keen to do the film, he may end up not doing it.” Meanwhile, Sadh will also be seen in Tigmanshu Dhulia’s next, which was tentatively titled Bichhde Sabhi Bari Bari, playing a young Manoj Bajpayee.

Welcome Back to release on December 19

While director Anees Bazmee’s sequel to his 2009 film, Welcome, titled Welcome Back was earlier scheduled to clash with the Aamir Khan starrer P.K and Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet, the film has now been shifted to December 19. Bazmee wanted to ensure that the film releases on a date when there is adequate audience presence. Interestingly, Welcome too had released during the Christmas week and had fared well at the box-office. While Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor will be seen essaying the same roles that they did in the previous installment, John Abraham and Shruti Haasan are the new additions.
