Bomb hoax on Sarnath Express sends cops in a tizzy

BHOPAL: Security personnel and railway police officials went into a tizzy after receiving a call informing that there was a bomb on Sarnath Express, coming from Chapra in Bihar and en route to Durg. Later, it turned out be a hoax call.
Sources said an information was received at 6.55 pm at Jhansi control room about a bomb on the train. By that time, the train was near Manikpur railway station where all passengers were made to get down and RPF, GRP and the bomb squad was called from Kargi checked the train.
Three round checking was done but no bomb was found, sources said. It was after much delay the train began onward journey at 8.51 pm, sources said. The train was yet to reach Satna station where another round of checking would be conducted and special teams have been sent to the station. Sources said the call originated from Ghazipur district in Uttar Pradesh, the information was then provided to railway control room at Bilaspur by Ghazipur control, Bilaspur, in turn, forwarded the information to Jhansi and checking was carried out.
