The Ghaziabad police have launched a search for Rashtriya Parivartan Dal president D P Yadav after a local court issued non-bailable warrant against him for not appearing in a case of attempt to murder lodged against him in 2008 at Sahibabad police station. The case was lodged on complaint of Ajay Katara, brother of Nitish Katara who was murdered allegedly by Yadav’s son and others. Yadav had filed nomination paper for Sambhal LS seat Tuesday.
Sahibabad SHO, Upendra Yadav, who confirmed the NBW issuesd against Yadav, said they have conducted raids at his possible hideouts, but failed to trace him.
Meanwhile, police have traced an SUV, in connection with a case of assault on SP’s Sambhal district president’s son involving Yadav’s police gunners and his driver Friday.
