PUMBA wins Dr Ambedkar Institute of Management Studies and Research's business plan competition 'Aegis 14'

NAGPUR: The team from Department of Management Sciences, University of Pune (PUMBA) emerged victorious in the national level business plan competition Aegis 14 organized by E-leap, the entrepreneurship center of Dr Ambedkar Institute of Management Studies and Research (DAIMSR). Teams from Narsee Monjee Institute Of Management Studies and IIT-Roorkee came in second and third respectively.
The recently concluded event had participation from colleges like IIM-Raipur, NIT-Durgapur and Welingkar Institute of Management. It was attended by more than 500 students from across the country. Judges for the competition included prominent people like CA TS Rawal, CEO of 10Kya.com Sharad Gupta, lawyer Wilson Mathew and internet entrepreneur Ketan Kapale. Director of DAIMSR Sudhir Fulzele and co-ordinator of the event Vilas Chopde were also present.
"The unique thing about this competition was that the business plan was supposed to be done within an initial capital investment of Rs 1 lakh. Despite this limitation which posed an additional challenge to the participants, we heard some very interesting plans," said Fulzele pleased with the way things proceeded.
The audience also took keen interest in raising their queries to the teams. The participants appeared well prepared with their prompt replies. Directors, professors and students from renowned management and engineering colleges of city were present as audiences along with venture capitalists.
