T Nissan Motor Indonesia (NMI), a subsidiary of Japanese car maker Nissan Motor Co., launched on Tuesday the latest model of its mid-size sedan, the Nissan Teana, to further penetrate the local market.
NMI vice president director for national sales and marketing, Yoshiya Horigome, said that the new model, set to be imported from Thailand, would increase the share of the sedan to its overall domestic sales from 5 percent to between 15 percent and 20 percent in the new fiscal year starting from April.
'To do that, we will put a lot more focus into enhancing our corporate sales,' he said during the launching.
The new goal would help Nissan to sell around 95,000 units in the new fiscal year, Horigome added. From January to December last year Nissan delivered 61,119 units nationwide.
