A 10-member Indian team, led by Achanta Sharath Kamal, left for twin-tour of Germany and Spain to participate in the World Pro Tour.

A 10-member Indian team, led by Achanta Sharath Kamal, left for twin-tour of Germany and Spain to participate in the World Pro Tour. The team consists of Sharath Kamal, Soumyajit Ghosh, Harmeet Desai, Anthony Amalraj and national champion Sanil Shetty in the men's section.
Among women, the team is led by K Shamini, Madhuri Patkar, national champion Ankita Das, Pooja Sahasrabudhe and Manika Batra.
Foreign coach Peter Engel and national coach Bhawani Mukherjee is accompanying the team for the twin-tour.
According to Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) secretary general Dharnraj Choudhary, these players will form the core group for the Glasgow Commonwealth Games as well as the Asian Games at Incheon, South Korea later this year.
Manav Thakkar & partner stay on course for title: The India A cadet team of Manav Thakkar and Akaash Nath notched up wins over both India B (Snehit Suravajjula and Jeet Chandra) and India C (Neeldeep Das and Wesley Do Rosario) in the 2014 Indian Junior and Cadet Open Table Tennis Championships at the Mukherjee Stadium in Panaji on Tuesday. They have a match against both Singapore and Sweden, and the table-topper will win the title.
