Kuldeep 'Daddy' Pawar's demise is a huge loss for me: Ashok Shinde
Actor Ashok Shinde who will be next seen in Kranti Redkar's 'Kaakan' speaks about his 27-year-long association with late actor Kuldeep Pawar who passed away yesterday due to kidney failure.
Ashok Shinde said, "I was with him at the hospital. He was facing health issues for past few months. I had called him a few months ago but couldnt get through. Later his son told me that he was unwell. A few weeks after that I happened to meet Makarand Anaspure and he too mentioned about Daddy's ill health."
"It is a huge loss for me.
There are very few people in industry with whom you just feel like working continuously because you enjoy their company and Kuldeep was one of them. Extremely caring and helpful by nature, he was one of my closest friends from the industry. He was my friend, brother and brother," Ashok added.
Kuldeep had worked in a play titled 'Rakheli' in which he had played a character called 'Daddy'. Since then the industry people address him by the same name. "I have worked with him in around twenty five plays the same number of films in my career. I did television serials like 'Paramveer' and 'Damini' with him. He had an amazing sense of humour but got stereotyped as a villain because he performed villainous roles with perfection," said Shinde.
