Clegg named on empa framework

Nottingham-based Clegg Construction has become the latest new contract partner for empa, the East Midlands Property Alliance, after winning a share of its £140m minor works framework.

The company's contract will cover work valued from £350,000 to £2m in Northamptonshire, Rutland and Peterborough. It will run for a period of four years.

The aim of empa, which is managed by Scape, is to improve the procurement and delivery of construction projects and property maintenance for public sector clients saving time and money for them and their council taxpayers.

David Knifton, business development manager at Clegg Construction, said: "We have an excellent track record having completed a whole range of public sector projects and we look forward to working with empa to utilise this experience and expertise."

The empa framework contracts cover work for clients on all types of public sector buildings including schools, colleges, universities, housing, NHS, care homes, leisure facilities and libraries.

Other contractors appointed to the minor works framework are G F Tomlinson, Robert Woodhead, Lindum Group, Interserve Construction, Jeakins Weir and Ashe Construction.
