First-ever North East Carnival held in Bangalore at National Grounds, Basavangudi

The first-ever North East Carnival in Bangalore on Sunday saw the North East community bring a slice of their homeland to the city. The event saw musical performances by singer Manas Robin, Alobo Naga and The Band and Priyanka Bharali. There was also a demonstration by Abhijit Baruah, who holds the Guinness Record for throwing the most punches on a boxing pad in one minute. The event had a fashion show in which models walked the ramp in traditional North East attire.The stalls at the flea market that paid tribute to the culture of the region ensured that there was a spirit of festivity through the day.
