Language examinations go on peacefully in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi

The 11th day of ongoing second PUC examinations that got underway on March 12 saw 22586 out of 22893 candidates registered for Kannada examination appearing for the same in Dakshina Kannada in 49 examination centres on Monday.

MANGALORE: The 11th day of ongoing second PUC examinations that got underway on March 12 saw 22586 out of 22893 candidates registered for Kannada examination appearing for the same in Dakshina Kannada in 49 examination centres on Monday. The remaining 307 students were absent. The lone candidate registered for Tamil paper, all 14 candidates registered for Malayalam wrote the examination.
While there was no registered candidate for Arabic, 163 out of 165 candidates registered for French appeared and two were absent.
In Udupi, 10602 out of 10735 students registered for Kannada appeared and rest were absent and the lone candidate registered for French took the examination. On March 25, examination will be held in Marathi, Urdu, and Sanskrit from 9am to 12.15pm, deputy director, department of PU educations said.
