JCECE board invites application for B.Tech, B.Sc and BHMS entrance exam 2014

Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (JCECE) board launched online application forms for entrance tests to B.Sc agriculture and forestry, engineering and Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medical Sciences (BHMS) courses for academic year 2014-15.

Eligibility criteria:

B. Tech :Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects and has obtained at least 45% marks.
B.Sc Agriculture & Forestry: Candidate must have passed I.Sc /10+2 with Physics, Chemistry along with Maths or Biology.
BHMS: Candidate must have passed I.Sc /10+2 with Physics, Chemistry along with Biology.
There is no age limit for appearing for engineering in the entrance exam. But the age limit for appearing for agriculture and forestry test is 17-22 years for general candidates as on July 1, 2014

How to apply:

Applicants can log on to www.jceceboard.org to fill and submit their forms.
The online form should have scanned images of photographs, signature and Left Hands Thumb impression.
Candidates should pay the form fee through debit card, credit card or e-chalan. Aspirants can also submit the fee to JCECEB account with the Bank of India along with the chalan downloaded in the process of filling the online form.

Application Fees:

Application fee for General category for PCM and PCB is Rs 550 and for PCMB is 600
Application fee for SC/ST category for PCM and PCB is Rs 275 and for PCMB is 325

Paper Pattern:

The JCECE exam is held in two stages - Preliminary and Final Examination. Those who qualify in the Preliminary Examination are eligible to appear in the Final examination.

The JCECE preliminary exam consists of single paper where four parts (Math, Physics, Chemistry and Biology ). Each subject has been given equal weightage with objective type questions.

  1. All parts carry objective type multiple choice questions.
  2. In total, test paper consists of 200 questions.
  3. Which have to be answered within 2 hours and 30 minutes, which is the duration of the paper.
  4. Wrong answers can fetch negative marks.

Last date of online submission of forms: April 12.
The entrance exam date: April 27.
