Way back in 2009, filmmaker Sudhir Mishra had floated the idea of Dhruv, a political thriller, with Farhan Akhtar, Kareena Kapoor and Chitrangada Singh in the lead. But the film was indefinitely postponed and then shelved after the stars cited date problems, and Mishra got busy with Inkaar. However, with Mishra’s
Pehle Aap Janab now on the backburner apparently because the filmmaker has not been able to find producers for the film, he is now reviving Dhruv.
The director was in Lucknow the last few days to scout for locations to shoot the film, reveal our sources.

Rahul Bhat has been signed as the male lead, names of Mishra’s muse Chitrangada Singh and
Huma Qureshi are being discussed to play the female lead in the film.
While some have confused the male lead to be
Mahesh Bhatt’s son, LT has learnt that the actor in question here is the Rahul who was first seen in the TV show '
Heena', and who also features in Anurag Kashyap’s '
Ugly'.

He also was on the lookout for a few bungalows in the Cantt area of the city, but nothing has been finalised there.
