Lady Gaga Wants To Unveil ‘G.U.Y.’ Music Video On Dateline

Lady Gaga has a brand new music video to share with the masses. Instead of debuting the clip on an entertainment website, social media, or — heaven forbid — MTV, the singer is unveiling the clip on a network television show.

For some strange reason, Lady Gaga intends to debut the “G.U.Y.” music video on none other than Dateline. Yes, that Dateline. The announcement arrived courtesy of the show’s official Facebook page. However, nobody seems to know why the singer selected the TV news magazine to host the premiere.

“Dateline’s ‘Saturday Night Mystery’ is going to start JUST a couple minutes late this week… We’ve got a Lady Gaga video to premiere,” the post explained.

Regardless, Lady Gaga fans will need to tune into Dateline to catch the official unveiling of her latest music video. This is definitely a good thing for the show and NBC, as it’s likely to give the network a significant albeit short-lived ratings boost. In this day and age, you do what you can to snag viewers.

For those who often spend their weekends doing anything else besides watching Dateline, the program featuring Lady Gaga and her new video airs on Saturday evening at 9 pm ET. Fortunately, host Lester Holt will be on-hand to ease you through the experience.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Lady Gaga tapped several Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast members to help her out with the clip. Unfortunately, her encounter with a slow loris probably won’t make it into the final cut.

In addition to Lady Gaga, Us Weekly reports that Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle Richards, Kim Richards, Brandi Glanville, Yolanda Foster, Joyce Giraud de Ohoven, and Carlton Gebbia will all appear in the “G.U.Y.” music video. Depending on your opinion of the reality TV show, that could be a serious deal breaker.

To prepare the world for her latest endeavor, Lady Gaga paid a visit to the Today show on Friday morning. Not surprisingly, she used the opportunity to take aim at critics who feel that she’s nothing more than a shock artist who’s looking for a little attention.

“There’s a perception that what I’m doing is all a big show, and I really, truly feel that it’s really just part of who I am. I’d just be doing it on the Lower East Side,” she explained during the interview.

If for some reason you can’t catch the new Lady Gaga video on Dateline, then rest assured that the clip will find its way onto the internet shortly thereafter. In other words, don’t rearrange your schedule to see the premiere. Unless, of course, that’s just your thing.
