Brahmanandam's son to change track?

The lukewarm response for Basanti at the box office has put a question mark on the career of actor Gautam. Although daddy Brahmanandam used all his goodwill in the industry and roped in superstars to promote the film, the plot around terrorism fail to set cash registers ringing.
Meanwhile buzz suggests that Brahmi pumped in more than Rs 2 crores on the film. A few industry insiders suggest that Gautam is not ���star material��� and the only possible way to make a mark is by doing interesting character roles.However it is reported Gautam is not too keen to take this route.
