Tapmi's Rithwik, Krishna win Tata Crucible Campus Quiz regional round

The city regional rounds will be followed by zonal finals which will be organized in Mumbai (west zone), New Delhi (north zone), Kolkata (east zone) and Bengaluru (south zone).

MANGALORE: The 10th edition of inter-collegiate business quiz — Tata Crucible Campus Quiz — is back!
This time the quiz will offer more excitement as it travels to 34 cities testing young minds battle it out amongst their peers. Rithwik and Krishna from TAPMI emerged as winners in a neck to neck fight at the Manipal regional round of the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2014.
The runner- up position was bagged by Ujan Sengupta and Apuroop Sethupathy from Manipal University.
The chief guest at the event, Dr Vena, presented a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh to the winning team and Rs 50,000 to the runner-up team.
The Manipal regional round of Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2014 enjoyed an overwhelming response with 89 teams participating from colleges across Manipal. The top six teams of the quiz were selected after a preliminary written and a subsequent wild card round. The other four teams qualified for the finals comprised winners Raoul Fernandes and Suvayan Nandi from MIT, Nishanta and Saurabh Rao from NMAM (NITTE), Anindita R and Soumya E from NIT Surathkal and Jeevanish Gill and Krishna Chhabra from Manipal Institute of Technology.
The city regional rounds will be followed by zonal finals which will be organized in Mumbai (west zone), New Delhi (north zone), Kolkata (east zone) and Bengaluru (south zone).
The top two teams from each zone would battle it out for the Tata Crucible Campus Quiz 2014 title at the national finals to be held in Mumbai in April, 2014. This will be followed by the international finals where the winners and runner-up from the Indian edition of the quiz will compete with the winners and runner ups of the Singapore and UK editions, held earlier this financial year, to win the international championship title.

The quiz will be held at Chennai on March 22, Kolkata on March 23, Jaipur on March 25, Jammu on March 26, Jalandhar (March 27), Rohtak (March 28), Noida (March 29), Delhi (March 30, Tiruchirapalli and Coimbatore (April 1), Kochi (April 3), Bangalore (April 5) and at Mumbai on April 6.
The winners of the regional finals will win cash prizes of Rs 1 lakh while the runner-up will receive Rs 50,000. Winners of the national finals will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs 7 lakh and the Tata Crucible trophy.
The increase of Rs 25,000 and Rs 15,000 from the regional winners and runner-up prize respectively will be contributed directly to a charity of the team's choice fulfilling specified conditions.
