INDORE: Acting tough against traders of Loha Mandi, the district administration has banned entry of trucks loaded with iron to Mandi via Navlakha and Agrasen crossing during the day time to ease out traffic in Sapna Sangeeta area.
The ban was imposed after repeated notices to iron traders for shifting Loha Mandi to a new place allotted to them at Scheme no. 78 but they refused to shift.
Now IMC has been asked speed up process of establishing new Loha Mandi.
According to collector, Akash Tripathi's order, entry of trucks loaded with iron goods are banned in Loha Mandi from 8 am to 10 pm. The order, however, said that the step is taken for smooth flow of traffic at Navlakha/ Agrasen area. But, sources said that the step is taken to pressurize the iron traders to shift to the new place.
