Rakshita to quit JD(S) and join BJP?

If sources are to be believed, actor-turned-politician Rakshita is all set to quit her parent political party Janata Dal (Secular) and will join Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
The latest development has come close on the heels of JD(S) not fielding Rakshita as their candidate from Mandya constituency for the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Had JD(S) fielded Rakshita as their candidate, then Mandya constituency would have seen battle between two actors-turned-politicians Ramya and Rakshita.Ramya is the Congress candidate from Mandya.
Rakshita made her acting debut in the 2002 Kannada film Appu, alongside Puneet Rajkumar, following which, she acted in many Kannada, Telugu and Tamil films.
