Murli goes bald for Kaksparsh remake

For his negative character in the Hindi and Tamil yet-untitled remake of Mahesh Manjrekar’s Marathi film Kaksparsh, actor Murli Sharma had to shave off his head. Set in the 1930s, Sharma is reprising the role played by Marathi actor Vaibhav Mangale in the original and his character is named Neelkanth Shastri, a staunch Brahmin who has ideological differences with the hero played by Arvind Swamy.
Though Sharma actually worked for about 8-10 days, his dates stretched to a month. The actor had to keep his head clean shaven for over 50 days. “I had heard so much about Kaksparsh, and could not refuse the film when Mahesh Manjrekar approached me. It is one of the landmark films in Marathi cinema,” he added. The film has Tisca Chopra in the role of Swamy’s wife, while Vaidehi Parshurami plays the widow.
Besides this film, Sharma is excited about O Teri that will release on March 28. He plays a negative role, that of a Delhi businessman named Nahata.
In Remo D’Souza’s official remake of Dead on Arrival, Sharma will play a corrupt police inspector, Vishwanath Chinchure. The film starring Rajeev Khandelwal has been tentatively titled Amar Must Die. It is directed by Param Gill, who had earlier directed Rockin’ Meera and Hotel Hollywood.

Parts of Super Nani to be reshot

After being delayed for almost a year, director Indra Kumar is all set to release his film Super Nani on May 1. But before that, the cast and crew will re-shoot a few portions of the film. When contacted, actor Sharman Joshi, who plays the male lead in the Rekha starrer, stated that they will be filming a few important parts over a period of two- three days. “Although I am not the best person to talk about this, I know that we will re-shoot some portions. In fact, we have been informed that we will be adding some new scenes as well. It just requires a couple of days of shoot, that’s it. Nothing major,” mentioned Joshi, who will be seen playing Rekha’s loving grandson in the family entertainer.
