Glossy celebrates anniversary the royal way

Fashion and luxury magazine Harper's Bazaar concluded its fifth anniversary with an extravagant gala within the ramparts of the Mehrangarh fort, Jodhpur on Saturday as it partnered with HH Maharaja Gaj Singh II of Jodhpur to host a black tie dinner at the Jodhpur Flamenco and Gypsy Festival.

Fashion and luxury magazine Harper's Bazaar concluded its fifth anniversary with an extravagant gala within the ramparts of the Mehrangarh fort, Jodhpur on Saturday as it partnered with HH Maharaja Gaj Singh II of Jodhpur to host a black tie dinner at the Jodhpur Flamenco and Gypsy Festival.


The flamboyance of Spanish dancers and joie de vivre of Rajasthani folk performers were the perfect backdrop for Bazaar to host a glittering dinner under the stars. From fashion designers to famous authors and members of glitterati, the event was a perfect melange of royalty and high society.

A special sign of the brand was lit up against the sprawling Blue City, with traditional singers adding to the allure of the evening.

"Personal style and art have long been the two pillars of Harper's Bazaar and both came together for the magazine's continuing fifth anniversary celebrations.

" The dinner of the Jodhpur Flamenco Festival hosted by Maharaja Gaj Singh and Bazaar was a truly special evening, in a magical setting - just beautiful!," said Harper's Bazaar editor Nishat Fatima.

Spotted at the dinner were designers Raghuvendra Rathore and JJ Valaya, Shobhaa and Dilip De, Pramod Kapoor, Bina Ramani, Devyani Khobragode, Simone Singh with Fahad Samar, Bhaichand Patel, Alexandra Reelick, V. Sunil, Priya Kapoor, Chanda Choudary, Aryan Sundaram, Mona Maliah and Ramon Blecua among others.
