A cocktail of sizzle and social message at the annual function of Geetanjali cultural institute, Smt Laxmibai Vikyomal Shroff High School and Ranu High School at Deshpande Hall in Nagpur

Geetanjali cultural institute, Smt Laxmibai Vikyomal Shroff High School and Ranu High School celebrated their annual function together at Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall in Nagpur recently.
Around 150 youngsters from these three institutions participated in the show. Making their presence felt at the do were MP Vilas Muttemwar and Someshwar Naitam, Head of the Education Department of Zilla Parishad.The mood was jovial initially but once the show started, everybody was seen glued to their seats to see the show. Students' performances on different dance forms, particularly Kathak, entertained the audience. Another highlight of the evening was a dance-drama recital 'Beti jag ka gaurav hain,' which enthralled everyone. Utsa Banerjee, the principal of Ranu High School, said, "We chose this theme because female feticide is a major issue in the country. In the past too, our annual functions have revolved around serious themes like terrorism, environmental issues etc."
