Bala flick with Sasikumar is 'Tharai Thappattai'

Acclaimed director Bala's next starring Sasikumar and Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar in the lead roles has been titled 'Tharai Thappattai' for now. Sasikumar will be essaying a role of a Nadaswaram player while Varalakshmi will be seen as a Karagattam dancer.
Sasikumar has done away with his facial hair and sports a pencil moustache in the film. He also has curly hair and his look resembles the legendary comedian Chandrababu.The film's music composer, Ilaiyaraaja has finished recording 12 songs for this film using a live orchestra, in a span of six days. And since folk dance is an integral part of the film, he has used folk musicians who are not associated with the film industry.
