However, it's hard to keep the spotlight on the clothes when there are a bevy of Bollywood beauties taking to the runway. Model and actress Malaika Arora Khan was the showstopper for designer Anju Modi and spotted on the front row were fashionistas Nathalia Kaur and Sonal Chauhan. The other fashionistas that made an entrance at the event included Karisma Kapoor, Ileana D'Cruz (for Anushree Reddy), Mugdha Godse, Kalki Koechlin (for Zhen & Mossi) and Kajol. Present for Rajat Tangri's collection were a handful of fashionistas including Shamita Shetty, Sophie Choudry, Shriya Saran and Hard Kaur.

Anju Modi's debut collection, 'Seeking Paradise', in Mumbai, was feminine and elegant. The forest scene complimented the ensembles beautifully as models sashayed down the runway dressed in pastel hues and floral colours. The heavily embroidered yet lightweight creations featured carved arches, filigreed windows and flowers of Eden in colourful floral shades.

Designer duo Shantanu & Nikhi's collection 'The Shadows Within' was inspired by the architecture of the pre-independence era in light and sheer fabrics like organza and raw silk. A set of laser cut sleek dresses, a sherwani over layers of white net long skirt and lehengas were the highlight of their collection.
