Shreyansh Patel had left the party in the car owned by Bipinchandra Patel to get diesel for a generator set that was being used for the party.
Bipinchandra's son Chintan had gone to the party in the car and Shreyansh had borrowed it to get the diesel.
According to an offence lodged by Bipinchandra, Shreyansh lost control over the car when it was commuting on Dahod bypass in Bamroli. Bipinchandra told police that his son Chintan came to know about the accident at the venue of the party as the word spread. Chintan informed his father, who in turn informed Shreyansh's father Hariprasad Patel. When Bipinchandra and Hariprasad reached the spot, they found the car and the victims there.
