Sabyasachi Mishra in Susant Mani’s next film

The filmmaker and the actor will be pairing up for the first time in an Odia film
What happens when a talented director teams up with a passionate and diligent actor? Obviously, a good film! As filmmaker Susant Mani and actor Sabyasachi Mishra get ready to work together for the first time in Mani’s upcoming flick, Mu Eka Tumara, expectations are obviously high.
Sabyasachi, who was last seen in Hara Pattnaik’s Om Sai Ram, is quite upbeat about the film and claimed that it would be on one of the best projects of his life.“I strongly believe it would be an amazing experience to work with Susantji. He is known to be a director who believes in bringing out the best in actors, never compromising with the quality work. I always wanted to work with him, and I am happy that I got the opportunity now,” Sabyasachi told TOI, adding, “He must have found me fit for the role and thus decided to cast me.”
Susant, who had earlier edited several of Sabyasachi’s films, is thrilled about the project. He claimed that the film’s uniqueness lies in its storyline. He also said that the songs composed by music director Bikas Das are surely icing on the cake. “We want to make this film a complete entertainment package with good acting, strong storyline and melodious music,” Susant said.
“We created the music in a jungle while we were in Bhawanipatna. Only one item song is yet to be composed and we’ll try to make it a special one,” he added.
So, what made the director cast Sabyasachi? “Though, we never worked together before, we share a very good rapport. Sabyasachi is a wonderful actor and one of his best qualities is that he immerses himself in the character,” shared Susant.
TOI also learnt that there would be two heroines alongside Sabyasachi. While Archita is slated to appear as one of the female leads, the director is yet to finalise on the second. Other eminent actors like Mihir Das, Bijay Mohanty, Aparajita and Mahashweta would also be part of the project.
