Indians need to act wisely in casting their vote for those parties that actually make a change on this pressing issue.
ONGOLE, ANDHRA PRADESH, INDIA: This is with reference to your report of March 14 titled “Delhi rape case — court upholds death terms for gang-rapists”. All Indians are appreciating the judgment delivered by the Delhi High Court. However, they should not forget the atrocities being committed against women across India. Instead, they should remember that it is due to inefficient rulers that such heinous crimes occur. As elections in India are just around the corner, now would be the right time for people to lobby the various political parties on this issue.
In my view, Indians have lost faith in both the BJP and the Congress, given that both are national parties and have been ruling India for the past many years. Indians need to act wisely in casting their vote for those parties that actually make a change on this most pressing issue.
