BJYM workers threaten to quit en masse over ticket to 'outsider' in Allahabad
ALLAHABAD: Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) activists on Friday threatened en masse resignation even as protests against fielding an outsider on party ticket from Allahabad continued outside the local office of the BJP.
The workers staged a massive dharna outside the party office demanding that ticket be allotted to a local dedicated party worker. They claimed that a number of workers had dedicated a major part of their life in working for the party in the region and urged party high command to announce the candidate at the earliest.
BJYM district president Sanjeev Jaiswal said, "We have urged senior party leaders to look into party workers' demand and not to entertain outsiders." He added that being an organization based party, BJP should announce an experienced, hard working and dedicated party worker as candidate from Allahabad city parliamentary seat.

He added "Morale of party workers will take a beating if an outsider is offered party ticket. Besides, party will also lose dignity among voters."
Sources said that local party leaders and workers were in no mood to tolerate entry of outsider, especially possible induction of an expelled BSP leader into the party fold.
The BJP supporters were enraged over the fact that former BSP leader Nandgopal Gupta (Nandi) had been continuously stating that he was in touch with BJP's top leadership.
However, senior BJP leaders were trying to pacify the workers.
