Terminal management and software solutions company, Tideworks Technology has announced the first successful installation of its new Mainsail Vanguard terminal operating system (TOS).
After extensive testing, the new operating system went live at Talleyrand Marine earlier today.
The new Mainsail Vanguard system replaces Tideworks’ legacy core TOS and will seamlessly integrate with current Tideworks solutions implemented at the Talleyrand facility.
Built on a Rich Internet Application (RIA) framework the new system is designed in order to provide an intuitive and highly interactive user experience.
It features powerful and flexible search tools, enabling users to find information quickly, without the need for custom development.
“The flexibility of Mainsail Vanguard is amazing,” said Pat Schulz, terminal supervisor at Talleyrand. “The application is straightforward and easy to learn. That’s an advantage for any system. Now, we are able to answer customers’ questions faster and meet their needs more quickly. We were looking for speed, ease and accuracy. Mainsail Vanguard delivers on all of those points.”
Talleyrand Marine Termial is a 35-acre leased by Hamburg Sud from the Jacksonville Port Authority (JAXPORT). The port is currently operated by SSA Cooper.
The terminal currently services Hamburg Sud, vessel sharing partner CSV and Mediterranean Shipping Company, providing three weekly services to South America.
Tideworks and Talleyrand formed a partnership last year in order to fully understand the requirements needed of the new TOS, therefore streamlining it perfectly for the terminals needs, something that the solutions company hopes to continue with all following partners.
