Trekking Expedition organized by Army flagged off

JAMMU, Mar 11: Army team today took a Trekking Expedition across the towering Indrahar Pass in the mighty Dhauladhar Ranges in Himachal Pradesh.
The expedition was flagged off by General Officer Commanding, Rising Star Corps, at Yol Cantonment.
The General Officer Commanding presented an Ice Axe to the team on the occasion.
The team, comprising of two officers, one Junior Commissioned Officer and thirteen other Ranks, commenced its expedition from Mcleodganj, on its way to the mighty Indrahar Pass at 4500 meters.
The trek will setup its base camps at Triund and Lahesh Caves, before embarking upon its final ascent to the summit across the Indrahar Pass, thereby, establishing the stamp of the Army on one of the loftiest passes in the Dhauladhar Ranges.
The expedition team will return to Basohli Military Station on March 24, 2014.
