div dir="ltr">The case of the murder of Ade SaraAngelina Suroto, a student at Bunda Mulia University, was transferred from the Bekasi Police to the Jakarta Police on Tuesday, as the locations linked to her killing are in Jakarta.

'€œThe three crime scenes were in Gondangdia, Cikini and Menteng,'€ Jakarta Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Rikwanto said on Tuesday.

The transfer was conducted in order to ease the investigation and coordination with the courts, he said, adding that the two alleged perpetrators, Hafitd and Assyifa, would also be transferred to Jakarta Police headquarters.

The Jakarta Police oversees police forces in both Bekasi city and Bekasi regency, although they are located in West Java province.

Rikwanto said the police were due to question two of Hafitd'€™s friends from Kalbis University, East Jakarta, as witnesses.

He said according to the police investigation, Hafitd asked the two witnesses, Algi and Galan, to get him a new car battery because his car had broken down several times in the process of looking for a suitable site to dispose of Sara'€™s body.

'€œAccording to Hafitd'€™s statement to police, one of the witnesses saw Sara'€™s body inside his car,'€ he said.

He said the questioning of the two witnesses may be conducted at the university to expedite the process. (ask/nvn)
