Hotness is the most essential quality needed to succeed on the big screen. Luck and talent come later. The first impact you make is visual, and the undermentioned dudes and divas have what it takes. But they haven't succeeded in setting the screen on fire. Some haven't had their film screen debut, while some haven't been exploited to their full advantage. They have got smoldering looks and are celebrities in their own right. The paparazzi loves them. they are celebrities in their own right, but they haven't come into their own. While they have all it takes to climb the Bolly success ladder, something's holding them back. What is it that's stopping these feisty femme fatales and handsome hunks from making it big in the rarefied cine-scape. Is it bad luck? Or a lack of good opportunity?
Maybe all they need is that one big shot at the fame game, some filmmaker to put his or her faith in them. Anyone up for the challenge?

Arunodaya Singh
In his debut film Sikandar (2009), directed by Piyush Jha, he played a Kashmiri terrorist. Everyone fell in love with this beefcake when he appeared shirtless in the chick flick Aisha. Also, in the same year, he appeared in Vinay Shukla's take on gender and sexuality in Mirch. In 2011, he acted alongside Irrfan Khan and Aditi Rao Hydari, another newcomer in Sudhir Mishra's Yeh Saali Zindagi. Despite working with some of the big names and portraying significant characters - he hasn't really got his due. However, his brawn charm packaged with a great screen presence - makes him clearly a ladies' man. He is most-wanted. Single, super-rich (yes, it matters) and smoking hot body. He really should be more successful.

Lisa Haydon
After sizzling on the ramp and scorching bikini calendars, this Seductress Supreme with never-ending-legs caused a splash in Aisha and had the entire male (and even female) population panting. she followed up the hot act in Rascals and Rachaa, but it didn't help her career. Until now. With a cameo in Queen, she is in full form. Playing half-French, half-Indian waitress Vijaylaksmi, she flirted with the camera nonchalantly and was definitely one of the highlights of the film. A crème brûlée complexion, athletic physique and mile-long legs, make Lisa a lust-worthy pin-up sensationa, who has taken a successful plunge into films after a successful modelling career. Photographer Prasad Naik, who has shot Lisa several times says, "She is stunning in front of the camera. I feel today Bollywood scripts have a place for girls like Lisa. Filmmakers are experimenting with new scripts and creating a lot of new characters and girls like Nidhi Sunil and Jyothsna Chakravarthy can easily carve a place for themselves."

Mohit Raina
Yes, he is happening. But on the small screen. And that really doesn't cut it. With those abs and that smile, he should be competiing with the big boys of Bollywood on the big screen. He has achieved all he can as telly god Shiva. Now it is time to make the big move. He is one of the hottest hunks of television and an extremely popular actor. And yet, save for one film Don Muthuswami which had him in a small role, Mohit has eluded the big screen and vice versa. And it isn't as if Bollywood isn't interested. Farah Khan wanted him to be a part of Happy New Year. The latest news is that he has signed for a big budget Bolly film, but he is not telling. Considered small-screen's Hrithik Roshan, Mohit has a crazy female fan following cutting across age groups. Films are beckoning him again, will he take the bait and and more importantly succeed this time?

Lauren Gottlieb
She's hot and she has a figure to die for! Yet Lauren Gottlieb who was seen in Any Body Can Dance (ABCD) is waiting for her turn under the spotlight. The tall, lissome Lauren is a foreign import like Katrina Kaif and like her predecessor has had to learn Hindi. Lauren was a finalist on the international dance show So You Think You Can Dance when Remo D'Souza saw her in one of the episodes and cast her in his ABCD. Though Lauren had her eyes set on Hollywood, when Bollywood beckoned she didn't think twice before shifting base. ABCD was followed by the dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Looking at her killer moves, Karan Johar had commented that Lauren had all the latkas and jhatkas of a pucca Bollywood heroine. In fact, when she draped a sexy red sari and did Dhak dhak karne laga, Madhuri Dixit said she looked like an Indian! However, all this high praise hasn't translated into Bolly films so far and Lauren who dances like a dream is busy doing live stage performances in India and abroad!

Asif Azim
This Adonis got his first break in 2002, with Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee showcased his collection in Dhaka. Later he caught the eye of a South African photographer Neo Ntsoma, who was in town for a documentary photoshoot. Neo's photographs of Azim have appeared in Parisian magazine Saolo (2002). From there Asif started a career as a model and he travelled to various countries doing fashion weeks and shooting. He recently participated in Bigg Boss and had all the ladies swooning. He has a great sculpted physique and intense eyes. All he needs is that one significant break.

Jyothsna Chakravarthy
Photographer Prasad Naik says, "I think model Jyothsna Chakravarthy is extremely hot and has an amazing presence in front of the camera. She has it all it takes to make it big in Bollywood in the future." Jyothsna shot into the big league status when she walked the ramp at the Grand Palais in France as part of Chanel 's Paris Bombay show in 2011. This Woody Allen and Somerset Maugham fan had said in one of her interviews, " I maybe eyeing bigger modelling assignments and even Bollywood projects but I am also looking at an MBA degree as my safety net. I am aware of the transitory nature of fame."

Soniya Mehra
She is in the Sonam mode. A true blue fashinosta. She dresses better than more successful actresses with an army of stylists. She is fun, quirky and she loves the flashbulbs as much as they love her. And she has acting in her blood. This daughter of Vinod Mehra joined Anupam Kher's 'Actor Prepares' for a 3 month course at 17. She is also a trained dancer and made her acting debut in Victoria No. 203 and Bombay High. After a long gap of three years she made her comeback in 2010 with the film Basra starring Abhay Deol. She will be seen in an interesting role in soon-to-be released Ekta Kapoor's Ragini MMS 2. If shraddha Kapoor can disappear after Teen Patti and then return with a Aashiqui, so can she!
