TV actress Divya Mallik dreams of buying her house

Acting happened just by chance for television actress Divya Mallik who hails from Delhi. "I came to Mumbai two years back for my cousin’s wedding and at that time auditions for the character of Gauri for Balika Vadhu were happening.
So, I gave that and went back to Delhi thinking ki kuch hona toh hai nahi,” she says, adding, “But to my surprise I got a call saying that I have been selected for the role but uss time mere class XII ke boards thay, so I couldn’t accept the offer.But after giving boards, I came back and started afresh and got my first serial Jai Maa Vindhyavasani as a lead and then Love Dosti Dua’s second season happened.”

And Divya’s one big dream is to buy a house for herself in Mumbai. “My mother is staying in Mumbai with me till the time main thodi si badi ho jaaun and all my finances are being managed by her only. And off all the money I have earned so far, I have saved most of it to buy a house in Mumbai. Right now I have rented an apartment and really wish to have a house of my own in Mumbai,” she says.
Ask her is she has any plans to spend some part of the money on her own self and she says, “Playing the lead leaves me with very little time to go out do anything. Just like every other television actor, most of my time also is spent on the set. And jo thodabahut time bachta hai, usmein I study since I’m doing my graduation (correspondence) from Delhi University. I study here and then go to Delhi to appear for my exams. Since, this is my last year, I am now thinking of getting my course shifted to Mumbai, so that I don’t have to travel so much.”
