What it is about…
Snehavin Kadhalargal traces the journey of a girl through different stages of her life. The film is produced by Ka. Kalaikkottuthayam, founder of Thamizhan TV, under the banner Thamizhan Kalaikoodam. Written and directed by Muthuramalingam, the film has music by Era. Prabahar, cinematography by Anand, editing by Shyjith Kumaran and stunts by ‘Jaguar’ Thangam. Keerthi Shetty plays the protagonist, ably supported by Uday Kumar, Athif Jey, Rathnakumar and Thilak. The audio was released by producers Keyar and T. Siva and received by director Seeman and producer J. Sathish Kumar.

Producer Ka. Kalaikkottuthayam: I started out as a reporter and that’s when I became friends with journalist-turned-director Muthuramalingam. Later I did programmes for the small screen and launched Thamizhan TV. Muthuramalingam’s storyline impressed me a lot, hence I readily backed the project. We are pretty sure of the film’s success at the box office.
Director Muthuramalingam: I worked as an assistant to director Ramesh Krishnan on films such as Adharmam , Thadayam and Pagaivan . Producer Kalaikkottuthayam is an old friend. It’s to encourage me that he came forward to produce this film. Snehavin Kadhalargal is different in that the story will be presented from the girl’s point of view.
Music director Era. Prabahar: I am a Tamil literature professor at a Madurai College. I have scored music for documentaries, serials and short films. Director Muthuramalingam studied with me in college and when he decided to give direction a shot he wanted me to pitch in. I immediately agreed and I am glad all the songs have come out well.
Music Highlights: There are five numbers in the album. Rahul Nambiar does a good job of ‘Yadhum Ore,’ which provides a great start to the album. Lyricist Nellai Bharathi’s choice of words for the song is sure to be appreciated. The composer himself has written three songs — ‘Sevvaname,’ ‘Kannagiyin’ and ‘Kuruvi Kuruvi’. While NSK Ramya deserves praise for the wonderful rendition of ‘Sevvaname,’ Alap Raju highlights the positive and negative aspects of Madurai in ‘Kannagiyin’. You can’t help listening to it again and again. The other attractive numbers on this album are ‘Kuruvi Kuruvi’ sung by Sakthi Sri Gopalan, Rahul Nambiar and the music director and ‘Uravugal Tholaindhu’ written by the director and sung by Vijay Yesudas.
