Exam season: 'Quality matters more than quantity, so concentrate'
LUDHIANA: Aarushi sets store by quality, not quantity, especially when it comes to preparing for exams. "It does not matter how many hours you spend revising. What matters is the quality you put into the time that you get. You need to concentrate hard while preparing for exams. I would not suggest staying glued to books. Just concentrate when you study," she said.
Aarushi also opposes the widespread trend of tuition and would rather rely on self-study. "Students generally depend on tuition and coaching centers but they will not help. Nothing is as good as self study. It is important to be interested in the concepts you study," she said. According to Aarushi, time of 15 minutes before the exam should be used to make a strategy to attempt the paper.
"Those 15 minutes will help you make your strategies as you would get an idea of how many answers your know and how much time the questions will take. Attempt your paper accordingly," said Aarushi.
She also warned students against lengthy answers. "The perception that lengthy answers will help you scoring is misleading," she advised.
