Rizvi College added another feather to their cap when they won the Guru Nanak Dev Trophy 2012-13 — the best sports college — by the University of Mumbai for the fifth year in succession.

MUMBAI: Rizvi College added another feather to their cap when they won the Guru Nanak Dev Trophy 2012-13 — the best sports college — by the University of Mumbai for the fifth year in succession at the University ground, Marine Lines on Wednesday.
They topped the points table with 1395 points that included 12 championships in various sports disciplines, three runner-up trophies and three third places.
Khalsa College (750 points) and Ruia College (700 points) finished at the second and third place respectively. Pro vice chancellor N Chandra presented Rizvi College with a huge trophy and was all praise of the college's efforts and achievements.
Air India, Bank of India play out 10-10 draw
Air India drew with Bank of India 10-10 on the opening day of the Mumbai Mayor’s Cup Maharashtra State Invitation Kabaddi Tournament organized by Mumbai Suburban Kabaddi Association. The match was dominated by Sachin Patil (3 points in 1 raid), Shailesh Garale amd Mayur Khaamkar.
In the other match, Dena Bank fought hard to eventually defeat Greater Mumbai Police 22-14. At half time, Dena Bank were trailing by 4 points (6-10). Ajinkya Kapre of Dena bank won the hearts of the huge crowd present with his all-round performance. The valiant efforts of Vipul Mokal (Mumbai Police) went in vain. This tournament is being held at MHADA ground, MHB colony, Dindoshi, Gorgegaon.
