Snatcher caught at Dahisar

A 34-year-old bike-borne man was caught by the MHB Colony police after he snatched a gold chain from an elderly woman at Dahisar West and was trying to get away. The incident took place on March 3 around 2.30 pm.

MUMBAI: A 34-year-old bike-borne man was caught by the MHB Colony police after he snatched a gold chain from an elderly woman at Dahisar West and was trying to get away. The incident took place on March 3 around 2.30 pm.
The accused, Asif Rehmat Khan, is a Malwani resident. He snatched a 15 gm gold chain from a 55-year-old woman on Rajaram Tawde Road at Dahisar West.
Khan was riding a bike and caught the woman unawares as he came up from behind her.
The cops were conducting checks kn the area on the same day. They spotted Khan and asked him to stop on suspicion. On questioning, he admitted to the crime. His Pulsar (MH02 AW 2960) was seized.
The police are now checking if Khan hasa past crime record.
