Bikes torched in Dahisar

MUMBAI: Over a dozen second-hand motorbikes parked on a private property at Dahisar East were found charred early on Thursday. The Dahisar police suspect arson and are searching for the accused.
"The fire was reported around 1.30 am at a plot on SV Road near Ravindra restaurant. The firemen, after being informed about the blaze by local residents, rushed to the spot and put out the flames.No casualties were reported," a police official said.
“We have registered a case against an unidentified accused under section 336 of IPC (act endangering life and personal safety of others). The plot, where the incident happened is a disputed property," the official added. The second hand bikes belonged to one Shehbaz Khan. It was only after Khan approached the cops with a complaint that a case was recorded.
