MUMBAI: Campa Cola residents were detained by DB Marg police near Thackeray’s club near Girgaum Chowpatty where Rahul Gandhi had visited, while they were peacefully demonstrating to save their homes from demolition.
The Supreme Court had adjourned hearing on Campa Cola society to March 10, as attorney general (AG) GE Vahanvatti was unavailable.
This comes after the apex court last month had asked the AG to find a humanitarian solution to the problem in consultation with the residents.

In November last year, the court had taken suo motu cognizance of the Campa Cola matter and directed Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation not to carry out demolitions of the 35 illegal floors across seven buildings in the society, till May 31, 2014.
