IIT-K students support GSVM medicos

KANPUR: The striking doctors of Ganesh Shanker Vidyarthi Medical college on Monday received support from the students of IIT-Kanpur. The senior doctors of the medical college claimed that the agitation against SP MLA Irfan Solanki and SSP Yashashvi Yadav is turning into a student movement.
The junior doctors of the medical college appreciated the IIT-Kanpur students for joining them in this movement.Around 20 students of IIT-Kanpur mostly the final year sudents and research scholars had come to come to the medical college to attend the meeting of junior doctors.
The IIT-Kanpur students said that they have rendered support to the cause of the medicos as the police action was barbaric and brutal.
"How inhuman the police was on Friday night, this was visible from the wounds that the medical college students received. We condemn the incident and demand suitable action against the SP MLA and SSP," said a student of IIT-K.
Another student said: "The incident is shameful. We saw the video footages of police thrashing the students and manhandling the senior professors. We condemn it. This act by the police on the instructions of the senior police official is enough to punish them. We are with the medical college students till this movement ends."
The senior doctors of the medical college thanked the IIT students for their supported them.
