Farmer, son found murdered

A 45-year-old man identified as Lalji Pal and his 18-year-old son Awadesh, a resident of Jagdishpur were found murdered outside a village in Lalapur on Monday morning.

ALLAHABAD: A 45-year-old man identified as Lalji Pal and his 18-year-old son Awadesh, a resident of Jagdishpur were found murdered outside a village in Lalapur on Monday morning. The assailants had shot the two near a tubewell and dragged the body of the son near a wheat field before escaping from the scene.
The double murder created panic in the village.
Hundred of villagers gathered at the spot. The Lalapur police said that motive is yet to be ascertained.
The murders came to light at around 8.30am when locals spotted the body of the slain youth lying inside a wheat field. The body of his father was found later near a tubewell. The family members said that they had no enmity with anyone and the motive behind the double murder was yet to be ascertained. They demanded police to probe the case thoroughly and arrest the killers at the earliest.
SO Lalapur said that they used to sleep at a tubewell to guard their field. The bodies were sent for postmortem examination.
