After Vijay, Ragini to work with Mohanlal

In the upcoming satiric comedy Peruchazhi, which has Mohanlal in a full length comic role, he will have a Mumbai girl as the female lead. Ragini Nandwani, an actress who became a household name through the Hindi soap opera Mrs Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein, has made inroads into Mollywood as the leading lady in this film. The actress, who has previously starred in the Hindi flick Dehraadun Diary, has also acted in the recent Kollywood Vijaystarrer Thalaiva as a Gujarati woman.
Peruchazhi���s director Arun Vaidyanathan (of Achchamundu! Achchamundu! fame) says, ���It���s after considering many big and small-time artists that we zeroed in on Ragini to play this interesting role of an Indo-American woman. She appears in the movie after Mohanlal���s character leaves for the US. Though the film is mostly shot in the US, it begins and ends in Kerala.���
The film���s shooting is expected to start by the second week of April. It also has Mukesh, Vijay Babu, Aju Varghese and Sandra Thomas in prominent roles. The film will have many sequences shot in Kochi and Trivandrum, the director adds.
