ISLAMABAD – Fourth seed Ahmed Chaudhry thrashed Malik Abdul Rehman of Multan in straight sets in 1st Zarkon PTF Ranking Tennis Tournament 2014 first round match here at Senator Dilawar Abbas PTF Complex on Wednesday. Rehman started the match on a very positive note and put Ahmed under lot of pressure in the first set, but Ahmed then settled down and and won the set 6-2. Ahmed played well in the second set and won it easily by 6-1 to take the match. In the other matches of the day, Sikandar Hayat, Ahmed Murad, Talha Bin Asif, Ahmed Mehmood Khan, Hasnain Abbas, Mehboob Khan, Fahad Mehmood Khan qualified for the main draw. A total of 10 matches decided in the men's singles main draw. Chief Commissioner Islamabad Jawad Paul was the chief guest at the opening ceremony. –Staff Reporter
