Australia aim for second final in a row

The South Africans, meanwhile, will count on captain Aiden Markram and all rounder Yaseen Valli.

Australia will look to reach their second consecutive final of the U-19 World Cup when they take on South Africa in Dubai on Wednesday. While the Australian side has won the title thrice, if the Proteas go through, it would only be for the third time that they have reached the final. Australia will depend on Jaron Morgan to come good once again. The opener is the side’s top scorer with 213 runs in four innings.

The South Africans, meanwhile, will count on captain Aiden Markram and all rounder Yaseen Valli. In Valli, South Africa has a batsman who has impressed with his patience, shot selection and range of strokes. He has scored 208 runs with a century and two half-centuries. Captain Markram has found form towards the business end of the competition. He scored an unbeaten 120 in his side’s last league game against Zimbabwe and then hit another unbeaten ton (105 n.o) in the quarterfinal against Afghanistan. In the bowling department, medium pacer Justin Dill has taken ten wickets while left arm spinner Valli has eight wickets.
