Anupam, Silajit and Anindya groove to folk beats

Kolkata paid tribute to the bauls of Bengal recently.
Sonar Gour, an event organized to promote baul music was a gala affair. The three-day extravaganza saw the next gen baul musicians showcasing their talent in the Sonar Gour Quest, while Sonar Gour Live saw the likes of Anindya Bose, Anindya Chattopadhyay, Upal Sengupta, Rupam Islam, Silajit and Gabu performing. The event, organized in the memory of legendary Gour Das Baul, had a huge footfall.Youngsters were seen grooving to the tunes of Tinkari Das Baul, Kartick Das Baul, Tarak Khyapa and others. We spotted actress Sohini Sarkar having a whale of a time with friends, while singer Anupam Roy dropped in for a few hours. Band Kaahon emerged winners in the contest and took home musical instruments worth 1 lakh.
