A man was arrested on Sunday in connection with murder of his friend near Kaval Byrasandra bus-stop on Saturday.
The D.J. Halli police arrested Zaheer Abbas, resident of Modi Road in D.J. Halli, on charge of murder of his friend Hameed (24).
According to the police, differences had cropped up between the two friends after Zaheer allegedly tried to harass Hameed’s relative.
Zaheer had then asked Hameed to come near the bus-stop on the pretext of discussing some financial issue. But when he did come, Zaheer and his two accomplices allegedly chased Hameed and stabbed him on his abdomen and shoulder.
The police are yet to trace the two accomplices of Zaheer, who were involved in the crime.
