Thaworn Wiratchant, Chapchai Nirat and Poosit Supupramai shared the firstround lead at the 15th Singha Masters in Chiang Rai yesterday.
The trio hit six-under-par 66s at Santiburi Country Club to stay one shot ahead of Thailand-based Simon Yates of Scotland.
Thaworn made eight birdies against two bogeys, Chapchai had seven birdies and one bogey, and Poosit got six birdies in his bogey-free round.
Pavit Tangkamolprasert bounced back from a double bogey at the second hole with six birdies to finish on 68.
He shared the fifth place with Arnond Vongvanij and Michael Tran of Vietnam.
Thammanoon Srirot shot a 72 while fellow four-time Singha Masters winner Prayad Marksaeng carded a 75.
Onthewomen’sside, SaruttayaNgamusawan fired a 69 to take the lead by one stroke.
Rungthiwa Pangjan was second on 70 and Goonlacha Paiboonpong third on 72.
The tournament is the 2013 season finale on the All Thailand Tour.
