KazMunaiGas EP says 2013 net profit down 12 pct to $932 mln

ALMATY, Feb 20 (Reuters) - Kazakh oil producer KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (KMG EP) said on Thursday its net profit fell by 12 percent in 2013, mainly due to increases in taxes, higher production costs and a decline in income from joint ventures.

KMG EP, the London-listed unit of Kazakh state oil and gas company KazMunaiGas, said in a statement that net profit was 141.8 billion tenge ($932 million) last year.
