'Baahubali', Rajinikanth's '2.0', Chiranjeevi's 'Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy', Mohanlal-starrer film on the epic Mahabharatham, 'Sangamithra', and the Allu Aravind co-production based on the epic Ramayana. What is common to all of these is that they are all mega-budgeted movies.

One more potential magnum opus is waiting in the wings to join the league.

If the Film Nagar buzz is to be believed, Rana Daggubati will do a film based on the legend of Hiranya Kashap and the same will be made at a huge budget. So much so, it will have to make it big in Hindi and Tamil to achieve a break-even.

Director Gunasekhar, who didn't have a glorious run with 'Rudrama Devi', is going to wield the megaphone.

Such films take longer than expected to fructify. All that can be said at the moment is that Rana is keen on essaying another epic negative character of mythical proportion.
