In 2016, Akkineni Nagarjuna participated in the Haritha Haram call given by K Chandrasekhar Rao, the Hon'ble CM of Telangana. He was accompanied in this endeavour by his fellow industry-wallahs like Allu Arjun, Rana and Rakul Preet.

His fans are taking the baton forward. They have participated in the planting of saplings, enlisting some school children. Nag is proud of their effort. Involving future citizens of the country in such noble initiatives seems to have made Nag even prouder.
