Gen Next’s collection at Lakme Fashion Week 2017 will leave you impressed! VIEW PICS!

The Gen Next have put up an impressive show at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2017

The Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2017 has finally began. The opening show of the first day was obviously done by Gen Next. Now if you are new to the whole fashion scene you will know that Gen Next is a batch of new designers who are chosen to showcase at the Lakme Fashion Week 2017. It is a great opportunity for budding designers who want to make it big in the fashion industry. The Gen Next show happens every season and this season was no exception. From the previous seasons, several designers have managed to grow big. This year too, we are hoping to see some of these new and aspiring designers to grow from here. Now if you haven’t really got  a chance to watch the first show of the Lakme Fashion Week 2017 Day 1, well then, do not fret.

The now-big names, some of them have emerged from Gen Next like Kunal Rawal, Rahul Missra and also Masaba Gupta. They all started on a very impressive note at the Lakme Fashion week 2017.  This season there were five aspiring designers who did put up  a very good show.

The show began with Soumyadeep Dutta, who made sure he bring a touch of his hometown Kolkata to his collection. Thus, his collection was an inspiration taken from Laal paar saada saari( the red bordered white sari) that is a traditional Bengali sari. So there was nu surprise there that his show had a lot of sari, kurtas and also tops in shades of grey, black, white and red. These are some of the pictures from his show! Take a look!

His show was then followed by a label named the Pot Plant that is designer duo Resham Karmchandani and Sanya Suri’s creation.  Their collection had shades of blue, red and white. Take a look at some of these pictures from their show!

Third in line was Nakita Singh with her line named as Outline. Frills,prints and a lot of style!

Another new label was Poochki that is a creation by designer duo Ishant Mukherje and Anirudh Chawla. They really came up with innovative outfits that included frilled palazzos, dresses, play suits and also jumpsuits all in colors or red, blue and yellow. What set them apart was that they used layering of prints from animals  tortoise, panda and stork.

And then it was Pallavi Singh with Tokyo Delhi that falls under her label ARCVSH. Crop tops, tube dresses, knee-length skirts and also long jackets were the highlight of her show.

Traditional and modern at the same time, Pallavi has totally nailed this look!

These Gen Next designers are indeed talented and have every potential to carve a niche for themselves in the fashion industry.
